The Distillery

We specialize in the production of fine spirits where the inspiration comes from its region, La Mitis. We produce a range of spirits using local and imported ingredients. Sugarcane-based spirits are our specialty. As we appreciate diversity, we developed Mugo gin in collaboration with Les Jardins de Métis and we are developing Acerum, a spirit made from concentrated maple sap whose name is reserved for Quebec, in partnership with Ma Cabane en Gaspésie.

The project started in 2016 from a common passion for spirits, a dream of creativity and the desire to participate in the development of our region. As entrepreneurs, our value is the creation of quality and distinctive Quebec spirits. We selected the location of our distillery for a major reason: water, an essential resource for making our products. That from the Mitis River gives us the characteristics sought for fermentation and gives us a product that meets the standards of the thriving fine spirits industry.

Visit to the distillery

Lasting 30 minutes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12:30 p.m., come and visit the distillery.

From the terrace on the roof of the distillery cellar, come and discover how the spirits of the Mitis Distillery are made. You will enter through the cellar, a place where the oak barrels of rum and acerum are stored, and then have fermentation and distillation explained to you alongside our 1000 liter still.

For organized tour groups, please contact the distillery.

For people who cannot use the stairs, a space has been specially set up at ground level to receive you, you can come to the store.

We carefully select our ingredients in order to make our products unique, even atypical.
